Siamese of Blessed Be Cattery

Applehead Siamese just can't be beat

They Love Our Dog!

Thank you very much!  We have had such a blast with our new babies!  The big dogs have done extremely well  and the kittens actually do not even hiss at Sebastian (the Maltese).  Aurora (our standard poodle) is only about year and a half but actually seems to be learning to stay calm if she wants them to stay close by.  My son came home from college on Sunday and was immediately smitten.  These two babies are so incredibly well adjusted.  I cannot thank you enough for all the attention you have given them.  Having Teeter around is a true blessing.  I am certain that is why they are so easy around the dogs.

I will send photos as we get some digital prints made (they are on the old camera at the moment).

Again, I realize this is a simple and quick thank you, but I wanted you to know how much we appreciate what you and John are about.  You are truly wonderful people!
Again, thanks!

Copernicus (Nicki) & Galileo (Leo) – Loved by Joe & Chandra Nott

I have had Siamese cats all my life. Joe was introduced to them once we started dating…lucky guy!  They are so beautiful and intelligent—really extraordinary.  Several weeks after my beloved Boo died (at 15 years old), Joe started looking around trying to find someplace we could adopt a Siamese kitten. I was so upset after losing her, I cried and cried and moped around the house for weeks, my heart was broken and he knew it. I think he knew in his heart that the best thing for me was a “baby” to love. I would NOT look at any of the websites at first, as I was beside myself with grief. But after many days, I started peeking at some of the websites he was checking out. We came across the Blessed Be Cattery – John and Chantel.

I had called Chantel and spoke with her briefly; I was real impressed with her and the website and filled out a questionnaire immediately. The only problem was that we would have to wait several weeks for a litter to be born. I agreed to that and knew we would be getting a kitty or maybe two with them.

I bugged poor Chantel all the time. I knew that we had found the right breeders for us.  Our cats are not just pets to us—they are our children and we give them the greatest love & care. Chantel described how the “babies” were given their own nursery, given high quality food and given love, holding and affection every day.  We placed our deposit right away and then just had to wait for Dara & Simon’s litter to be born.

Chantel was so wonderful—sending us pictures every week so we could watch their development and gave us frequent updates on how their personalities were developing to help us in choosing the kitten that would be the right fit for us.  We then went out to meet our new boy, as the people in front of us got the first pick of the litter. We didn’t mind, at this point, we were just thrilled to be getting a happy, healthy, well-adjusted kitty.

On May 22, 2006, on the way home from our honeymoon, we picked up our beautiful baby boy—Copernicus (Nicki). He is so loving and affectionate and very playful.  He bonded with both of us right away and is very friendly with anyone who visits.  He was perfect for us and just what we needed after all we had been through, I was thrilled, to say the least. I looked forward to going home after work again because I new I would be greeted by him. Then came the discussion of kitty number two. I have to admit I was scared to death, as Nicki was doing so wonderfully, I did not want to do anything to mess that up.

We had such wonderful luck with Nicki that we went for it. On June 16, 2006 we adopted another little boy from Chantel. One that she thought would go perfectly with Nicki. He was from Nakita & Simon’s litter. Boy was she right, Galileo (Leo) and Nicki were friends within 10 minutes of meeting each other. Now they go everywhere together, whether Nicki likes it or not! He has been so tolerate of Leo, shares his toys and everything. Nicki is so much like Boo, he is so loyal and confident but he does NOT have to be the center of attention. He comes when I call him but is content letting Leo suck up all the attention. We make sure that he gets plenty of loving too. We are so in love and feel so blessed to have them. Nowadays it is hard to keep me at work until 5:00. I just want to get home ASAP to see my boys, they are wonderful!! And know it too J

Chantel and John take amazing care of these babies and spend so much time with them, you can really tell, they are so well adjusted when you get them home it is incredible. Plus they were always available to answer our questions and address any concerns we had.  They were very flexible with pick up dates too. In fact, because of our honeymoon, they let us pick up Nicki like 2 weeks later than everyone else, which I thought was terribly generous and considerate for the kitty. We did not want to get him and then be gone on our honeymoon for 10 days and have to leave him with someone else.

We highly recommend them as breeders.  It is very clear that this is a labor of love for them.  I continue to send them pictures of Nicki & Leo so they can share in their growth and development.  They are wonderful people, Joe and I would recommend them to anyone. This has been the most wonderful experience and they have truly added great happiness to our lives. THANK YOU just isn’t big enough…

Sincerely,

Chandra & Joe Nott

Thanks for the advice, Chantel.
Yes, he is very spoiled...by choice, of course.  As I've said before, the transition into our home has been seamless and he appears to be very happy and content.  We really do love him.  I really love it each night when he crawls up on us after the girls go to bed.  As we watch primetime TV, he likes to either kick it into high gear around the house or camp out atop us and beg for his "head rub" which clearly is about the only form of petting he prefers.  I forgot to mention that he lost a tooth while on the vet's exam table yesterday.   I forgot about them falling out at 6 months which he became on the 24th.

I'm still going to try and catch some video of him and send it to you.

Lastly, should you ever want to use us as a reference, feel free to give out our number for someone to call and ask questions...or our e-mail.

Have a great day!
